Scotland featured in the first-ever international football match, a 0-0 draw with England in Glasgow in 1872. Scotland's proud footballing history has never quite been translated into the success on the pitch that the Tartan Army crave. Despite featuring at eight World Cups and two European Championships, Scotland has never made it past the group stages. Perhaps the most famous result in Scottish football history was a 3-2 victory over "the auld enemy", England, in 1967. As England had won the World Cup the year before, the Scottish fans used the opportunity to claim the world championship for themselves. Scotland's lack of real success is all the more surprising considering the many stars the small nation has produced, including such great names as Jimmy Johnstone, Joe Jordan, Denis Law, Gordon Strachan, Alan Hansen, and Kenny Dalglish. Here at New Vintage Football we have re-created all of the kits worn by Scotland's greatest players.
