Long thought of as international football's greatest underachievers, Spain have turned their reputation on its head with an unprecedented run of success in the 21st century. For many years, the country's passion for the game, super clubs, and star players inexplicably failed to translate into a winning formula on the international stage, with just one European Championship (in 1964) to show for their efforts. The turnaround began in 2008 when they won the Euros for the second time. This was followed by triumph in the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, becoming the first European team to win outside their home continent. In 2012, their seemingly unstoppable team won the Euros again, making them the only country in history to win three major titles back to back. They share with Brazil the record for the longest run of games undefeated. Famous Spanish players over the years have included Alfredo di Stefano, Emilio Butragueno, Raul, Xavi Alonso, Sergio Ramos, Andres Iniesta, Xavi, David Silva, and David Villa. Here at New Vintage Football we have re-created all of the greatest kits of the Spanish national team.
