Formed in 1927 by a merger of three older clubs, Roma are the fifth most successful Italian team in term of trophies won. They have also won the second-most Coppa Italia (nine), and are the most successful team from the capital in terms of championships won. Their first Scudetto came in 1941-42, and they also won Serie A in 1982-83 and again in 2000-01. Roma have competed in every season of Serie A with the exception of one year in the early 1950s. The closest they have come to European glory was losing the European Cup final to Liverpool in 1984. They share the Stadio Olimpico with their fierce local rivals Lazio. Here at New Vintage Football we have re-created some of Roma’s most famous shirts from 1990-2014 as worn by such stars as Bruno Conti, Sebino Nela, Giuseppe Giannini, Rudi Voller, Aldair, Cafu, Vincenzo Montella, and Francesco Totti.
