The third most successful club in Scottish football history, Aberdeen have a proud record of having never been relegated from the Scottish top flight ever since they won promotion in 1905. They are also the last team from outside the Old Firm to win the league (1984-85) and the last Scottish side to claim a major European trophy (winning the European Cup Winners’ Cup and the European Super Cup in 1983). Their success in the 1980s was under the management of Alex Ferguson before he left for Manchester United. In total the Dons have won four Scottish league titles (three under Ferguson), seven Scottish Cups, and six Scottish League Cups. Their most recent success was the 2013-14 League Cup. Here at New Vintage Football we have re-created some of Aberdeen's most famous shirts from 1969-2001, including, of course, from the year of European glory in 1983.
